Apple Music Discount

Apple has released a new student plan offering a 50% discount on its streaming music service to beat the competition from the likes of SoundCloud, Spotify, Tidal and others. The Apple Music student plan can be availed for only $4.99 per month by students enrolled in a college or university across the US.

However, the plans are not restricted to the US only; they are also extended to students in other countries encompassing UK, Denmark, Germany, Ireland, New Zealand and Australia. However, the subscription price will slightly vary across other nations, as Apple Music is set at different prices in other regions.

The discounted offer is valid for up to 4 years after registration and is available for all undergrad and post grad students. The registration process starts from today and anyone looking to avail the offer can sign up through web or mobile application for Android and iOS. The students signing up for the service will be verified by UniDAY, a leading student verification technology company.

The company currently holds 13 million subscribers, increased from 11 million in February this year. UniDAY is also working on Apple Music to make it user friendly following complaints of its cluttered design and complicated behavior.

The other pricing plans for Apple Music include individual package priced at $9.99 per month and Family plan priced at $14.99 per month. Addition of another low priced plan (this student plan) is expected to have a huge impact on its growth, catching immediate attention of budget conscious students.
