I had the Sony Ericsson p800 way back in 2003, which was a fully fledged smartphone with a touchscreen. Apple definitely did not invent the smartphone. Nokia N70 in 2005 was also a smartphone with a front facing camera.

Yes I agree – to each his own. Some prefer Android , some don’t Its a personal preference and depends on market trends / value to end users.

I’d say that’s not true. Android already is the exclusive choice for the low end market for smartphones, and getting more market share of the mid range and high end market for smartphones as time goes by. Android hardware provides more choices than all other smartphone OSes combined, and while there are loads of crappy apps on Google Play, there are also more than enough quality apps covering all needs there, both paid and free. So unless you rely on some specific, iOS or Windows only app, there’s simply no compelling reason to go with something else than Android, while there’s a compelling argument for Android: a better value to price ratio.

there is one correction i need to draw your attention to.
“Apple did not give birth of smart phone” !!!
first the was nokia (symbian os) and there was HP and Imate with windows 5 and 6 and 6.5 and all of them have the smart functionality and even touch screen.
