Global support for Mozilla’s New Firefox Mobile OS

Mozilla is planning to launch its new mobile operating system, which is based entirely on HTML5. This OS is sure to use the Firefox Barnd and shall power smartphones being launched completely on open web standards according to which the capabilities of a given device are developed based on their HTML5 applications.

Global support:

This new exciting entry into the smartphone market is being backed by leading operators including Telecom Italia, Telenor, Deutsche Telekom, Sprint, Telefonica, Smart and Etisalat. This is probably due to the realization of this technology in the delivering of experiences of smartphones, that too at affordable rates.

First devices:

ZTE and TCL Communication Technology announced intentions of manufacturing their devices to be the first to feature the new Firefox OS with the help of Snapdragon processors from the Qualcom Incorporated, which now leads in the field of smartphone platforms. The first devices using this OD are expected to be out commercially in 2013 through Vivo.
