OS X Mountain Lion Launched for Mac Users

There is a lot of buzz going around in the market for the OS X Mountain Lion and Apple has now announced that the OS X Mountain Lion download is now available for download from the Mac App Store. The company said that this is the ninth major release of the world’s most advanced operating system and they are glad that finally they were able to bring out the OS X Mountain Lion to Mac users. Apple has announced that they have been working on offering more options and features that will help users to share and integrate with various other technologies and options.

Philip Schiller, Apple’s SVP of Worldwide Marketing said that downloading the Mountain Lion is easy and people are going to love the new features that are incorporated in it.

  • iCloud Integration – With the help of the new iCloud integration technology users can set up their emails, contacts and messages in a better way. They can also look out for reminders and notes and include everything in the iWork documents so that they can stay updated on all devices that are connected.
  • Apple has also introduced the new iMessage app which replaces the iChat so that users can send messages from their iPhones and iPads and even iPod Touch to another user on Mac.
  • The Notification Center has been improved and it provides notification and alerts for Mail, Calendar, Messages, Reminders and various system upgrades.
  • The new OS also comes with system wide sharing so that Mac users can share their pictures, videos and files without switching to any other apps.
  • Facebook integration has also been improved in the new operating system so that users can post their pictures, links and comments directly from the apps. Users can add Facebook friends to their Contact list and also update Facebook status directly from Notification Center.
  • Game Center improves the social networking gaming experience and therefore users can look out for multiplayer games that they can play from their iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch or Mac.
  • AirPlay Mirroring is also included in the new operating system where users can wirelessly send 1080p secure stream of content from Mac to HDTV using Apple TV. Users can also use AirPlay speakers to get the sound wirelessly which helps to enjoy video files wirelessly on your HDTV.
