Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc like all good things in life did not wait for an official announcement to make itself known to the masses. However, it is not much of a surprise if we are to go by the tactics of Sony Ericsson; the first appearance was on a teasers or posters. These posters were available at CES in January. The phone left us all speechless with its beautiful yet ridiculously thin profile that is about 8.7mm / 0.3in. It had an unorthodox rear that is concave in shape. The external design of Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc was indeed a revelation.

The company swiftly followed it up with the announcement about its interiors that has quite an astounding potential.  It had the amazing Adreno 205 graphics and oneGHz Qualcomm MSM8255 processor that was present in the previously released Xperia play. It has a backup of 512 MB of RAM that is quite an accomplishment in itself. Along with this, Xperia Arc has the latest build of android and gingerbread making this one of the finest mobile phones available in the market.

There are various reasons for buying this phone and if you want a list, there are plenty. It is stylish and useful and has everything that you need for daily life. Today a mobile phone is extremely important and you can best realize this fact once you get hold of this phone.

Sony Ericson Xperia Arc – Hardware facilities:

Phones are no longer devices strictly used for calling or texting people. It has become an accessory and every phone makes a statement. The song Ericsson Xperia Arc designers have built this by keeping this view in mind. It targets the buyers who are highly fashion conscious and are on the look for a highly stylized mobile phone. Although the billing is not the only thing that makes thing phone a good buy, it is certainly the dominant factor. The form clearly leads the way when it comes of fashion or function. But seriously, no buyers have been complaining on that.

This phone comes with a 4.2-inch display that makes it the biggest android mobile phone in the history of the company’s production. This really solidifies its credentials as a maker of entertainment device. However, one significant flaw has caught the attention of the people. The curvature of the back goes the wrong way. The concave curve has been a subject of criticism and for good reason. The previous Sony Ericson phones were without this problem as they all had a convex curve that naturally fits better in the human hand. This is the only flaw that is present in the otherwise excellent handset. The Sony Ericson Xperia Arc is an amazingly stylish phone but this flaw keeps it from making it to the numero uno position.

The phone is extremely light and thin weighing a mere 117 grams that makes it a pleasure to carry around. Xperia arc has a trifecta of physical buttons true to the android style. It is thankfully quite wide and easily identifiable and is thus highly intuitive while using. Although the key are not illuminable in the dark, this trait is forgivable. The rest of the exterior is quite on the uneventful side and consists of pretty flowing lines disrupted only by the volume rocker, headphone jack, Micro USB port, and the like.

Sony Ericson Xperia Arc – Camera:

The camera sensor is on the upper edge of the back. Thus, the user will have to be very careful while using this phone. You would not want to touch the lens. The shutter key is somewhat small and is in the lower edge of the phone. There is not a front facing camera in the Sony Ericson Xperia arc which makes video calling not an option.  The picture quality is detailed. This phone takes some of the finest shots that are beautiful to look at. There is very high quality aggressive noise suppression when it comes to videos making it great in this area.

Sony Ericson Xperia Arc – Software:

The camera in song Ericsson Xperia arc is much better than the previous ones. It certainly comes with its improvements. The Xperia arc has the timescape widget that can be a spoiler with its high resource consumption. The onscreen keyboard is good enough though there is much scope for improvement.

The Sony Ericson browser is a little on the downside as neither the zooming nor the scrolling matches the finest android level. The flash video is disappointing as well since it is of use to many people. Other than these, the Sony Ericson Xperia arc comes out as a good enough phone.  You can access a number of applications, content and games from this phone.  Music is good and you can download heaps through this phone. If you are into Gmail or Gtalk there is no better phone than this.
