The Sony Xperia V is due in pretty soon and already it has created the path for its smooth entrance amongst the other smartphone giants that are debuting in the last quarter of this year. Surely, there are many highlighting features of the Sony Xperia V which makes waiting all the more difficult for the consumers. Let’s look at some of the prominent features of the Sony Xperia V in this Sony Xperia V review.

The Only True Waterproof Phone Yet

Sony is really proud to present a unique waterproofing within the phone, which they claim makes Sony Xperia V, the first of its kind amongst other mobile phones. But after a hands-on experience, one can easily doubt if this is the case as the back cover comes off pretty conveniently and the SIM slot as well as the battery are sitting right in front of you. And everyone had to be expecting it, because at the unveiling of the phone, Sony had actually displayed one of their Sony Xperia V handsets underneath running water, which clearly showed that the waterproofing technology works. The speaker slot underneath the phone and the audio jack on the top, both have protective covers on top to make it waterproof from all sides.

The Sensor-On-Lens Technology

Of course the other main highlight of the phone is the Sensor-On-Lens technology that has been incorporated both on and within the phone. Originally, the smartphones have a sensor in between the lens and the display; but now Sony has managed to merge the lens with the sensor, thereby reducing the number of layers underneath the display and this in turn is supposed to make the screen more sensitive and responsive. The hands-on experience didn’t prove otherwise. The UI was pretty smooth, maybe even more agile than what we are accustomed to seeing.

LTE Connectivity

The Sony Xperia V Review cannot be complete without discussing another an important element of the Sony Xperia V. Sony has somehow also managed to give 4G LTE connectivity in the phone; which, together with its 4.3 inch display of 1280 X 720 pixel resolution makes playing games even more fun. It is also packed with 1.5 GHz dual core processor, Android Ice Cream Sandwich. And if that was not enough, Sony Xperia V is also arriving PlayStation Certified.

Camera

The Sony Xperia V features a 13 Megapixel camera with LED flash that takes up to 16 X digital zoom photos.
