LG shows 55 inch OLED TV- This television set has features which use organic light Emitting Diode (OLED) technology with incredibly thin 55-inch screen. The best part is the voice recognition technology but it does not mean that you can take all your anger out on the poor TV set, so how does the voice recognition work? Viewers can surf the web using spoken words using a microphone. Nice!
Environmental friendly technology on display at CES this year – Many companies are showing off environment friendly products this year at CES, two of the products out many working towards sustainability were headphones designed by the famous Musician Bob Marley’s son and a device called thermostat that remembers your regular schedule to cut the energy costs. The material used in making the headphones was recycled plastic and natural fibers, keeping in view the sound quality. You don’t have to sacrifice sound quality for an ecotech headphone.
LG got the award of “largest 3D TV of the show award- It was a close competition between LG and sharp. Sharp came close with its 80-incher but LG hit the jackpot with its 84-inche ultra definition set. Size does matter in the end.
Intel reveals ‘Nikiski’ laptop prototype with see through touchpad- The star of all was Intel laptop which does a double duty as the transparent touchpad for Windows 7 laptop and an exterior touchscreen when the laptop is closed. Quite an interesting concept. Soon Intel will shop it its partners like Acer and HP.
Sony announced Google TV set up box – The Idea of digital television platform is thoroughly worked upon by Sony in true sense as it revealed a brand new set top box for bringing the Google TV operating system.
Lenovo launches world’s first Android 4.0 TV – This year a new Electronics giant entered the TV business, obviously no extra points for guessing it is Lenovo, it launched its first Ice cream sandwich, world’s first TV set running Android 4.0. The product will only be available in China first but will be launched in other countries later this year.
New Handycam Range by Sony with Inbuilt Projectors and 3D – Sony has launched a new range of camcorders which has inbuilt projectors with 3D capability which is also capable of capturing 3D video. This camcorder is also the worlds smallest and the lightest in addition to being a full HD and 3D camcorder. Now making videos won’t be a problem at all!
Dell comes up with the new ultrabook – Dell has introduced the new ultrabook namely XPS 13 which has a frameless display and with all day battery life. It has a weight of 2.99lbs and is less than a quarter inch thick. It has also the latest Intel technology namely rapid start and smart connect.
NVIDIA/ASUS – Among the most recent announcements made, this was perhaps the biggest one A 7-inch Tegra 3 tablet at Two-hundred and fifty dollars is quiet a catch for a quad-core tablet! Although not much is known about the mystery device at the moment, but we soon will once it hits the retail scene some time in the second quarter of the year.
