Top iPhone 5 Free Games

iPhone 5 is finally here! And so is a plethora of new games for it that flooded the app store. In this blog, I have tried to jot down the top iPhone 5 free games available at the moment.

Eternity Warriors 2

Seems like Glu Game, Inc. has developed quite a knack for churning out highly likable and addictive games! Eternity Warriors was a bonafied hit with its 3D graphics and immersive gameplay and the sequel is even better in terms of fluid control mechanics and taking full advantage of the retina display. The graphics are amazing and the attention to detail is truly outstanding, which puts it on par with some of the top paid games you can find on the app store. The hack and slash action is extremely fun, as you chop your way to floor after floor slaying monsters and beasts and gathering loot. Eternity Warriors 2 would convince those critics who say an RPG on a mobile device cannot be that immersive.

Metalstorm: Wingman

Let’s face it! Not many of us will be ever lucky to have enough means to construct our very own supersonic fighting jet! But developer, Z2Live, Inc. has given us the next best option. Introducing Metalstorm:Wingman where you as a player get to construct and perfect your very own jet. The players have to go through different gaming modes to earn experience, credit and coins. The better your progress the more reward you reap in form of better aircrafts, weapons and other options. The game has considerable amount of depth and players will be facing decisions such as to augment their firepower or tweaks that would make their aircraft more maneuverable. The game makes most of the motion sensing capabilities of iPhone, as the aircraft controls are tilt based. This is one game every aficionado of the air craft games genre should play!

Enchant U

This is the second Glu Game entry of this blog, but I can’t help it if they produce gems! Enchant U is a Harry Potter like take on college life. Sure, you go to the college and partake in college activities like a normal student, but you feel something fishy and nasty brewing beneath the serene surface. The game has action and consequence system which keeps things interesting, and there’s a lot of exploration to be done. Overall, an interesting title that is worthy of space on your iPhone.

Blood & Glory 2 Legends

Ok, third Glu Game entry. This time it’s a title whose predecessor wasn’t quite the crowd pleaser or fan favorite. Blood & Glory 2 Legends still takes place in the glory days of the Roman Empire where gladiators fought to death to please the spectators. This time around, Glu people have made some noticeable tweaks such as the “Glorious Strikes”. Glorious Strikes is a sort of combo opener, huge damage dealing move, which leaves your opponent staggered and prone to punishment, you’d run down on them. If gladiatorial fights, baying crowds and blood gore are what you crave for, then Blood & Glory 2 Legends is sure to satisfy your blood lust.

Clash of the Clans

Developer, Supercell has literally revived the RTS gaming genre on the mobile platform. Clash of the Clans is an online strategy game, which will have the players constructing a base, fortifying it and defending it against invading hordes of the other online players. If you get tired of defending, you can also assume the role of aggressor and attack & plunder other player’s bases. It has all the elements of a classic RTS game, as the players will forge to gather resources (gold and elixir) to purchase upgrades and run a successful economy. The game does get a bit demanding in the later stages, which requires amassing massive amount of these resources, but that doesn’t diminish the fun or playability.

I am an avid gamer who spends major chunk of his time nose deep in video games. Leaving 8 hours for work and a precious few hours for sleeping and other mundane tasks, the rest is dedicated to glorious gaming world!
